Multi-tiered Systems of Support is a best practice framework that encompasses supports for the whole child, and takes into account academics, behavior, and social/emotional supports. MTSS is an umbrella term use to describe practices in your school, including, RtI and PBIS, however it is not limited to these two supports. Restorative practices is a social science that studies how to build social capital and achieve social discipline through participatory learning and decision making. Restorative practice seeks to repair relationships. Restorative practice is a strategy that seeks to repair relationships that have been damaged, including those damaged through bullying. It does this by bringing about a sense of remorse and restorative action on the part of the offender and forgiveness by the victim.
