Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports
Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) Initiative is an evidence-based practice for putting systems in place that support positive academic and behavioral outcomes on your campus. PBIS is a decision making framework for your campus-based teams that guides their selection, integration, and implementation of the best research-based practices and interventions. It's goal is to improve outcomes for ALL students within your campus. PBIS is founded on a three-tiered model and addresses school-wide systems, classroom management, and individual student supports

Restorative Discipline is a community building based intervention system, which seeks to build stronger, more empathetic approaches to behavior management. Restorative Discipline shifts the traditional system of punishing rule breakers into a system which focuses on problem-solving, personal accountability, conflict resolution, and personal growth. Through this process, students learn how to interact and manage their relationships with peers and adults. They become better equipped to understand how their actions impact others and how to monitor future behavior.
Trauma Informed Care
Trauma affects the way people approach potentially helpful relationships (Fallot and Harris). When this is not understood it put people at risk of further trauma, due to an ongoing sense of fear, betrayal, distrust and lack of safety. While trauma is everyone’s business and becoming a trauma-informed world would reap countless benefits, embedding trauma-informed practice is critical across all practice, services, agencies and institutions.
